Aid & Relief Services Transportation

Due to the urgent need of logistics services for the delivery of the humanitarian aid across the country, DHL Global Forwarding -Syria set up a new department under the name of Aid & Relief Services Transportation (ARS-TRS) responsible for moving the Humanitarian Aid within Syria through the following services:

Primary Transportation
From Syrian Ports (Lattakia & Tartous) or from Lebanon and Jordan borders to our warehouses.

Secondary Transportation
From local warehouses or directly from Ports to all Cities in Syria, according to a pre-defined monthly cycle.

Transport Equipment Provider Department
Due to the increasing demand for local transportation for the humanitarian sector, and as a support to the whole Transportation Operation, DHL Global Forwarding Syria created the "TEP" department (Transport Equipment Provider); that aims to act as an internal supplier for trucking through its professional team.

This setup enables us to control the transportation resourcefully by depending on several suppliers and individual drivers from different governorates which allow us to find trucks from different locations (borders, free zones, customs points, ports, etc…) and send each truck loaded to its hometown which is very useful in the current situation.

Cargo Charters to difficult-to-access and faraway areas within Syria

Transportation Security Measures
In April 2014 and after realizing that the trucks incidents has developed from being small armed robberies to take the shape of organized crime (fake personal IDs, fake truck plate, etc…), we have taken solid steps to make ultimate control on the drivers and trucks acceptance rather than relying only on the security company responsible for the facility security.

Customs Clearance
Done at Ports and Borders as a supporting service to the transportation operations.

For urgent Aid & Relief shipments, we arrange direct withdrawal (when required) to speed up the delivery process and settle the declarations later on.

Clearing Services of aid cargo offered for emergency relief to Syria are:
• Final Import Customs Clearance (IM44) at all Syrian Ports, Syrian Borders , Airports,  Internal Customs Secretariats and       Free Zones.
• Transit Customs Clearance (TR) at all Syrian Borders/Ports to any Internal Customs Secretariat
